Anti Prop 8 Marches Are Not For Civil Rights

With all of the marching and carrying on in support of legitimizing the wicked act of homosexuality it is clear as true believers in the morality of the almighty God we are up against very unique times in the time line of history in the world. Take for instance the story over the weekend in the San Diego Union Tribune Prop. 8 supporter speaks out at march. Here on display is an act of a depraved homosexual supporter lashing out at a Hispanic supporter of morality who points out to these radical Anti-God blasphemers that the will of the people approved the ban on the marriage of people of the same sex. The article goes on to quote the homosexual supporter as saying “”He looks like he’s Hispanic, like me, A lot of voters of my ethnicity voted for this. They don’t realize this is about civil rights.”

The Bible speaks very directly to the end of time in relation to the blatant acts against God of those who will not repent. Romans Chapter 1 and verses 24-26

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator–who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

This allows no room for debate and this is not a matter of civil rights and an “alternative” lifestyle. What is happening in our day with these shameful people is God has given them up to their depraved twisted wicked lifestyles because of their stubbornness. The sickest thing I have seen is is when small innocent children are subjected to these sexual perverts and their goal to indoctrinate a new generation with a spiritually depraved moral code. Pray that God will send truth into the hearts of many in the coming days to turn away from this perversion of our society.

Bankruptcy Not Bailout

Back in September during the battle over the bailout in Congress I for one was against the entire thing. It seems like the odds were stacked against us who opposed it as both major presidential candidates along with the leaders on both sides and the President were all set on ramming this scam through on the American people. Taxpayer money should not be used to bailout those who took financial risk and lost as businesses in a free market need to have the freedom to fail. Risk is the basic premise of what capitalism and making a profit is all about. Andrew Grossman has an article on the Heritage Foundation website posted today Automakers need Bankruptcy not Bailout.

I could not agree more with Grossman and the majority of the American public who I feel oppose continuing to pour money into failed business plans. As painful as it is the only way to get out of this mess it to let the markets sort out the winners and losers and rebuild from the ground up. These automakers need to file bankruptcy and get some breathing room like anyone else in life who has to that has over extended themselves. After bankruptcy the automakers can begin to work on a new strategy for doing business in the global economy on a different course than that which has obviously failed in the past.

Life moving Fast? Seek God Through Prayer

This year is moving at a very fast pace and so much has already happened. It seems like it just started and we just got through with the 2007 Holiday Season. Here we are half way through November and I know with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years in the days ahead it will just be a blink of the eye before we bid this year goodbye.

It is important that during these times as all times we slow down and enjoy the moment and give thanks to God. I know that for many out there times are tough as it may be financial or other concerns and that is more the reason why we should be praying for spiritual guidance not only for ourselves but for those around us. The Bible tell us in the first book of Thessalonians chapter 5 versus 17-18

Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you

Another verse that I will throw in is found in the second book of Timothy chapter 1 in verse 3

I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day

God stresses in his holy word to us that praying is the most critical communication we have between us and him. We are to pray continually as we interact with the Kingdom of God.

Even in things we lack knowledge of in our walk in this live we are able to seek his wisdom as found in the Book of James chapter 1 in verse 5

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him

We should continually be going to the Lord in Prayer to maintain the strength we need to live to glorify him. That combined with nourishment from the Word of God gives us the faith to maintain ourselves in our Christian Lives. If you are our of the habit or it has been a long time seek the Lord today through prayer and lay out your burdens to him and ask that he through the Holy Spirit gives you the strength and wisdom you need.

Staying Strong As Morality Breaks Down

My whole life I have heard fundamental Bible believing Christians of all ages lament about the liberalization and anti-biblical changes to society we have witnessed over the last several decades. I have to confess I overlooked much of it as it was quarantined to what I deemed far reaching segments of society compared to my own sheltered conservative world in rural America. It seems to me more recently observing the blatant slaps to God’s face by those who would have us to recognize homosexuality as not being a sin we are reaching a point in the time line of history God gave us insight into on the pages his holy word about the end of time. While there were victories at the election box this month notably in California to ban gay marriage it is still very troubling how close it was and how accepted this has become to a large segment of the world even to require this type of vote in the first place. Those that would redefine the truth of God’s infallible word and the moral code that has been accepted throughout history will not stop as they view this as a civil rights struggle equivalent to that of minority rights.

We really are in a time that will test all of us who hold to the truth of God’s word and stand for Christ. The Bible tells us to not be troubled as we see this breakdown of society around us as it is a necessary part of God’s plan to wind down the time line of history and bring us to that great day when all truth and righteousness will be restored in the universe. Now is the time we have to focus our prayers that many lost in the lies of Satan as he deceives the world in accepting sin as acceptable will come to the glorious truth and knowledge of God’s righteousness and confess their sins to him. There is a way to escape the final judgement and wrath coming upon this earth and the inhabitants of it and that is through the Lord Jesus Christ who has delivered all those who will call on his name and accept his finished work on the cross for us. All of us have those in our lives we long for to have the conversion process of giving their lives to Christ. It is through our prayers and the examples we set that God effect his will of salvation to those who will come to him. Another truth we have to always remember is faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God so anyone we associate with who even remotely shows interest in what we believe we should immediately being to share the word of God with. The word of God is still the most powerful force in this world regardless of what the mainstream ideas of the day might be.

I pray today for the strength of all true believers as we deal with the ramification of the breakdown of morality around us but I know that God still has a purpose for us being in this sin cursed lost world or we would not still be here. Until that day the trumpet sounds we have an obligation to do everything we can to bring the truth to anyone we can and pray they will escape the eternal wrath of hell. This is what we are here for and what we are made for and that is to follow God’s plan not just for us but in saving a lost world so that they may come into the same glory as all the saints in history have come to the realization of.

The Race Goes On For Us

The presidential race of 2008 is over a week in the history books and already talks of new political races are rumored for the future and being speculated about in the media. Lets not forget about the race we all face in our daily lives and walk with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am reminded in all this talk about races by the verse in 2nd Timothy chapter 4, versus 7-8.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day–and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”

How marvelous a moment of triumph is for the victorious in a hard fought presidential race, a World Series, or the Indy 500, or more importantly a nation at war. Those who have put our trust in and hung their lives on the Lord Jesus Christ have a moment of victory coming that the victories of the world can never hold a candle to. In that day Revelation 22 says

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

This is the mother of all victories and a day we who trust in the Lord long for when all the pain, persecution, and suffering this world dishes out daily will come to an end. This race will be won and victory is assured. All we have to do is stand fast in our faith and believe on him who has already secured victory for us. If you have not confessed your sins to God and hung your life on Jesus take this time to join this race and the most wonderful campaign of all in building the family of God. There is no common starting point which means you can join the race on any lap. We all will cross that glorious finish line together on the day the Lord waves the checkered flag of glory with the sound of the trumpet.

Tis The Season for International Broadcast Monitoring

Ok now the 2008 US elections are over and the dust is settling here domestically but the world continues to move and shake. Russia continues make headlines with renewed alliances planned with Cuba and a deeper alliance with Venezuela both countries not being on the best of terms with the United States. Standing up to US interest abroad continues to be a theme from Moscow carried on by current President Dmitry Medvedev and his closely aligned political ally Vladimir Putin. It should be very interesting to see what is said daily on The Voice of Russia and Radio Havana Cuba as events unfold. China already has and continues to have more impact on the US and world economies so monitoring China Radio International and CCTV-9 television are probably good bets to keep up with financial issues directly effecting our pocket books here at home. Do not dismiss broadcast from those we may not see eye to eye with totally as propaganda because knowing what the other guy is saying is more than half the battle in determining how to shape our own message and theme as we take our side to the world.

Although on the shortwave radio side broadcast times and frequencies have been cut back for many mainstream broadcasters lets not forget the vast amount of technology we have at our disposal in our day. Internet streaming, pod-casting, and satellite radio have a vast amount of broadcasting from abroad we can monitor so we do not totally have to get our news from the sensationalism often portrayed by the ratings driven US media. Radio Australia, the BBC, CBC in Canada, and yes the Voice of America still are wonderful sources of the latest news and breaking events around the world that often slip under the top stories reported on our domestic networks here at home. So what ever your monitoring method grab your favorite beverage and listen to what the world is saying because whether we like it or not we are in a global system that directly effects legislation and policies here at home that influence our way of life.

The most important things in life are faith in God, strong relationships with our family and friends, and love of the freedom this nation has provided us through the sacrifice of so many. This blog will endeavor to have post that reflect these things as we get to the point and focus on the world around as we live each and every day.
